I am very fortunate to say I grew up on San Juan Island. It has truly been a wonderful place to live all these years. Graduating from Friday Harbor High School, I headed east of the mountains to attend Washington State University. I received my Bachelors of Science degree and moved back to the Island with my wife Sarah. I held several Island jobs out of college including generating CAD floor plans for a local Architect, owning/managing a construction company, and property managing an estate for a local resident. In 1997 I started up a Home Inspection business and performed over 500 home and pest inspections around San Juan County and received awards from the San Juan County Association of Realtors .
Recognizing the importance of real estate, we started purchasing distressed rental properties. Today we own and manage several commercial and residential properties.
In my spare time, when I’m not busy with my two kids, I am active in several local organizations. I’m on the board of FH Middle School PTA & I have been the head coach for the Friday Harbor Tigers football program for the past 14 years. I am also the President of the Friday Harbor Athletic Association which is a local non profit, all volunteer organization which offers a variety of sports to the youth of San Juan Island . We are currently developing a community park & playing fields for the residents of San Juan Island. I am a Past Master and Life Member of San Juan Masonic Lodge #175, member of Goldstream Lodge #161 on Vancouver Island and currently hold the Treasurers position at San Juan.
